This is me. I’m a Public Relations student at Durham College, as well as, a trained cook. This site allows me to combine my two passions of cooking and helping others to find healthy inspiration in the kitchen.
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I quickly discovered through healthy food choices it is possible to minimize the need for medications and keep weight off without the feeling of dieting. The best part! Those healthy choices can be and are way better for your taste buds and body than the pre-packaged foods.
Look through the recipes, try something new, then play with it, change the recipe, give it your own twist then share them with family, friends and everyone else in your life. That is what the joy of cooking is all about!
